GRANDE PLAGE, Lacanau – France (Sunday, August 19, 2012) – The first call for the final day of the ASP 5-Star Soöruz Lacanau Pro will be held at 2pm today to decide wether conditions allow for an immediate start to the semi-finals. 2-3Ft waves are breaking this morning at La Grande Plage of Lacanau with a strong side-shore wind that should create ramps and allow competitors to take it to the air in the final heats of the event.
Four competitors remain in the hunt for the coveted Soöruz Lacanau Pro Title including Soöruz’s team rider Glenn Hall (IRE), Australia’s Jack Freestone and Dion Atkinson and the flying Brazilian Filipe Toledo. All four competitors will be looking to go all the way and earn the 2000 ranking points crucial for a potential qualification for the coveted ASP World Championship Tour.
